Obituary: Dorothy Jane Rosenberg



The funeral service for Dorothy Jane Rosenberg of Albert Lea, Minnesota will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Reverend John Henricksen will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church or the Donors Choice.



Dorothy died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 84 years old.



Dorothy was born April 24, 1920 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Olavus and Valborg (Aflangrud) Aspenson. She was Baptized and Confirmed at First Lutheran Church. Dorothy graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1937.

She has been a Freeborn County resident most of her life. Dorothy married Milton Rosenberg on September 1, 1940 in Albert Lea. She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, belonged to the Church Circle, Altar Guild and Bible Study. Dorothy belonged to the Sons of Norway. She enjoyed reading and especially enjoyed being with her family.



Dorothy is survived by her husband Milton Rosenberg of Albert Lea; three sons: Darryl Rosenberg of Fort Myers, Florida, Thomas Rosenberg and his wife Mary of Apple Valley, Minnesota and John Rosenberg and his wife Nancy of Alexandria, Virginia; six grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers: Harold Aspenson and his wife Bonnie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Gordon Aspenson and his wife Betty of Chisago City, Minnesota; sister: Ruth ?Dolly? Levisen and her husband Paul of Albert Lea, Minnesota; sister-in-law: Vivian Sumerwell of Vero Beach, Florida.



Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Robert and Richard Aspenson; sister-in-law: Lila Miller.



Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
