The memorial service for Cornell Jerome Anderson of Albert Lea, MN will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea, MN. Pastor James Brickson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded.



Cornell Jerome Anderson, of 403 Lakeview Blvd, died on this the 12th day of November, 2009. He was born the 26th of November, 1932 in Gordonsville, Minnesota to Carl A. Anderson and Helga Alvena Aase. He served in the army during the Korean war at camp Rucker Alabama. He worked for Interstate Power Co., Scotsman and District 241, retiring in 1997.



Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline (Chapman) Anderson of Albert Lea, his son Lemoyne Lee Anderson and his wife, Beth (Wilson) Anderson, of Austin, Minnesota. Step children, Patricia Ann Thies of Anna, Texas, Donald Michael Weitzel, and his wife, Sandee of McMinnville Tennessee. One sister Elizabeth Betty (Anderson) Deakman and her husband, Robert of San Diego, California. One brother, Conrad Emanuel Anderson and his wife, Rosemary of Rochester, Minnesota. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Joeseph Lee Anderson and his wife, Laici, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jennifer Brooke (Anderson) Brekke and her husband Christopher of Austin, Minnesota, Wendy Marie Anderson, Anthony (Tony) Anderson, Cathy Ann Anderson of Austin, Minnesota. Step grandchildren, Jonathon Scott Weitzel, Christopher Weitzel, Aubree Ann Weitzel of McMinnville, Tennessee. He also leaves behind nine Great Grandchildren, Emma Lauren Brekke, Isabel Morgan Brekke, and Triplets Olivia Brooke Brekke, Allie Grace Brekke, and Madison Rae-ann Brekke of Austin, Minnesota and Andy Weitzel of McMinnville, Tennessee, Haili Marie Anderson, Emilee Sara Beth Anderson, and Cole Joeseph Anderson of Jacksonville, North Carolina.



He was preceded in death by his father, Carl A. Anderson, his mother Helga Alvena (Aase) Anderson and two sisters, June Mardel Anderson and Suzanne (Anderson) Wellman, and unnamed twin boys at birth.



His final wish was to be cremated.
