Remembering the life of Chris H. Peterson....



The Funeral Service for Chris H. Peterson of Albert Lea, formerly of Geneva, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Saturday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service.



Chris died on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

He was 82.



He was born on March 11, 1923, in rural Clarks Grove, the son of Hans and

Helen (Grunwald) Peterson. He attended rural country school.

On October 10, 1946, he married Elaine Kiley in Blooming Prairie, and the made their home in Geneva.



Chris had worked at the Owatonna Canning Company and then at Queen Stove?s in

Albert Lea, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of the Eagle's Club.

Chris was inducted into the Freeborn County Softball Hall of Fame in 1979. He was an avid sports enthusiast, participating in his younger years, and watching in his later years. He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.



Chris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine of Albert Lea; children:

Terrance ?Terry? and Ann Peterson of Rochester, Pam and

Will Sorlie of Albert Lea, Vicki Peterson of Owatonna, Rodney and Sherry Peterson of Geneva, four grandchildren: Amy, Jill, Cory and Kaleigh; three step grandchildren: Heather, Pam and Polly; six

great grandchildren; sister Delphine and her husband Philip Pence of Albert Lea,

several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents, son Chad, brother Roger

and sister Phyllis.
