Arlen Carlsgaard

REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF ARLEN??.



Arlen died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at St. Mary?s Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota. He was 72 years old.



Arlen was born July 22, 1933 at Glenville, Minnesota to Arthur and Beatrice (Odden) Carlsgaard. He has been a Freeborn County Resident most of his life. Arlen married Eleanor Legried on September 8, 1956 at the First Lutheran Church parsonage in Glenville, MN. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad. Arlen was a member of the Moose Club and the Myrtle Fire Department. He enjoyed playing cards and wood working.



Arlen is survived by his wife Eleanor Carlsgaard Glenville, Minnesota; three children: Darlene (Ron)Wilkes of Glenville, Minnesota, Wendy (Brian) Heine of Albert Lea, Minnesota and Jerald Carlsgaard of Mankato, Minnesota; grandchildren: Nicole and Jessica Wilkes and Diana Heine; brother: Merlin (Marjorie) Carlsgaard of Glenville, Minnesota. Other survivors include; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law: Bonita (James) Tuttle of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; brother-in-law: Ivan Legried of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; sister-in-law: Sylvia Meuser of Albert Lea, Minnesota.



Arlen is preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Carlsgaard, Brother Gerald Carlsgaard, sister: Joan Back, mother and father-in-law: Raymond and Iva Legried.
