Bonnerup Funeral Home would like to welcome Deborah Janicke as the AfterCare Coordinator and Pre-arrangement Specialist. Deborah was raised in Andover, Minnesota. Her father having died when she was young, she was raised by her mother and grew-up with five older sisters. Deborah attended the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, obtaining a degree in Community Health Education with an emphasis in Family Studies. While working as a Resource Coordinator for a non-profit organization, she also served as a Funeral Director Assistant with the local funeral home and volunteered with her church funeral ministry. Through these experiences, Deborah was drawn to return to school to major in Mortuary Science. Since her formal educational training, she has served as a Funeral Director, AfterCare Coordinator and Pre-arrangement Specialist. Deborah says "Funeral service is passion revealed, a discovered vocation that continues to blossom and flourish from within."

Karla Tukua, Licensed Preplanning Consultant, will discuss the importance of planning ahead for your final wishes and will show you how to relieve your family of burdensome decision at an overwhelming time. Mike Burakowski, Funeral Direcor Liason from LifeSource Organ & Tissue Donation, will be here to represent his organization dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation. Mike will answer such questions as, "Who can be considered a doner and when?" "What do I need to consider when registering to become a donor?" and "Who is responsible for the fees inloved?" Funeral Directors, Paula Wilson, Steve Merfeld and Larry Wulff will also be available to discuss the importance of the value of visitations, and various service choices. Deborah Janicke, AfterCare Specialist will explain the AfterCare services that she can provide to individuals or groups to help them in their grief journey. Please join us!
